Defence Space Administration Officers’ Wives Association Celebrates International Women’s Day 2024 In Grand Style at The Defence Space Administration


The Defence Space Administration Officers’ Wives Association (DSAOWA) held a seminar to commemorate the International Women’s Day celebration on 8th March 2024, at GEN LEO IRABOR Hall. The ceremony was graced by the Chief of Defence Space Administration, Directors, senior officers, and Staff of DSA. The event was officially kick-started with an opening remarks by the Special Guest of Honour Hajia Murjanatu Shinkafi, who is also the coordinator of DSAOWA.

In her remarks, she described an ideal world as a place where every woman is valued and appreciated. She stated that the celebration serves as a powerful reminder and effort as we fight for gender equality. She urged everyone to promote gender equality.

She further appreciated the CDSA AVM AA Shinkafi for his undying support for women and promoting gender equality in the Administration.

The event was accorded with two lectures. The first lecture was on Post-Partum Depression, followed by Human Papilloma Virus ( HPV)and cervical cancer. This segment was brought to a close by an interactive session.

The highlight of the occasion was the presentation of the 16 seaters Toyota Hiace bus to the DSAOWA by the CDSA AVM AA Shinkafi and a group photograph.
