The Participants of Army War College Nigeria Course 8/2024 recently paid a Courtesy visit to the Defence Space Administration (DSA). The Commandant Army War College Nigeria (AWCN), Major General IB Maina led the Team.
Earlier during vote of thanks by a participant, Lieutenant Colonel IA Akabike on behalf of the AWCN Comdt expressed a profound gratitude for the warm reception and educative brief by the Administration. He affirmed that the brief on the DSA activities has enlightened them on the mandate of DSA; he also mention that the visit has deepens their knowledge on Geospatial intelligence, drone capabilities and how all these have enable the DSA keep 24 hours eyes in the Sky to support Military Operations. He assured that the knowledge gained from the visit would be of immense value to all participants in the duration of the Course in the College, respective countries and future endeavors. The Chief of Defence Space Administration (CDSA), Air vice Marshal AA Shinkafi delivered the closing remarks and responded to some questions asked during Interactive Session. In one of his response to a question by a participant about how DSA is contributing in the fight against the dynamic nature of insecurity in Nigeria; the CDSA mentioned that the role of the DSA although supportive has being very crucial for the personnel on the field.
