The Chief Of Defence Space Administration’s (CDSA) Sports Championship took place on 22 May 2024 at the Defence Space Administration Headquarters, Abuja. The Event started with a vibrant and impressive CDSA March Past. Following this, the CDSA AVM AA Shinkafi delivered his opening remarks, highlighting that the tournament was organized to foster unity and strengthen the bond between the old and new civilian staff.
The Special Guest of Honour (SGOH), Rear Admiral MK UNURHIERE, officially kicked off the event. Directors and all staff of the administration were present, contributing to the enthusiastic atmosphere.
Throughout the championship, various sporting events were held, with significant attention on the volleyball and football tournaments. The old staff emerged victorious in both competitions, a success attributed to their team spirit and experience playing together. At the end of the tournament, the SGOH presented trophies to all participants, acknowledging their efforts and sportsmanship. The CDSA also presented a special souvenir to the SGOH as a gesture of gratitude.
In his closing remarks, the SGOH encouraged the new civilian staff to be open and learn from their more experienced colleagues. He praised the team spirit and unity demonstrated by the old staff, which led to their victories. He attributed their success to team spirit and their longstanding familiarity with playing together.
