In a bid to strengthen inter-agency cooperation in advancing Nigeria’s national security architecture, the Commander, Nigerian Army Cyber Warfare Command, Major General ES Mustapha, on Thursday, 23 July 2026, paid a courtesy visit to the Chief of Defence Space Administration (CDSA) at the CDSA Conference Room, Abuja.
The visit was aimed at exploring opportunities for enhanced collaboration between both organisations in support of national defence and security.
Speaking during the visit, Major General Mustapha underscored the critical role of the Defence Space Administration in providing space-based capabilities to the Armed Forces of Nigeria. He noted that the Nigerian Army Cyber Warfare Command has successfully developed several indigenous applications currently deployed within the Nigerian Army, with additional solutions at various stages of development.
He explained that the visit was intended to foster strategic collaboration with the Defence Space Administration, particularly in the areas of capacity building, research and development, technology exchange, and other initiatives that would strengthen the nation’s cyber and space capabilities.
In his response, the Chief of Defence Space Administration Maj Gen PO Ilodibia, warmly received the Commander and his delegation, expressing appreciation for the visit and the Command’s commitment to building stronger institutional partnerships. He reaffirmed the Administration’s readiness to collaborate with the Nigerian Army Cyber Warfare Command in areas of shared interest, particularly in integrating cyber and space capabilities to enhance national security operations.
The CDSA further reiterated the Administration’s commitment to supporting initiatives that promote innovation, knowledge sharing, and the development of indigenous technologies for the benefit of the Armed Forces of Nigeria and the nation at large.
Highlights of the visit included the signing of the visitors’ register, the exchange of souvenirs, a group photograph, and a guided tour of facilities within the Defence Space Administration.
