It was a memorable day as the Defence Space Administration hosted her two-day maiden edition of the DSA Inter-directorate sports competition, which was held on 21 August 2024.
The event was kicked off by the Special Guest of Honour, the Chief of Administration, (Army) Maj Gen. OJ Akpor.
The Office of the CDSA, DCDSA, DOA, DFA, DLOG, DNPT, DPP&R, DLSO, DCS, DEO and DCyber were grouped into teams 1- 4 that competed during the event.
The teams represented various sports, including football, handball, volleyball, basketball, badminton, table tennis, scrabble, chess, and a tug of war.
The first day of the competition held the first stages of each game while the second day had successful athletes competed for the first place, medals and trophies.
The highlight of the event was the presentation of gold medals to all Directors, the presentation of the souvenir, a gold medal, and trophy to the SGoH and a group photograph.
The event dovetailed into a closing remark by the SGoH Maj. Gen OJ Akpor which concluded the inter-directorate sports competition.
