Directorate Of Cyber Security Hosts The Defence Space Administration Lecture For The Month Of April 2024

The Directorate of Cyber Security (DCYBER) of the Defence Space Administration(DSA) recently hosted the DSA monthly Lecture for the Month of April 2024 at General LEO Irabor Multipurpose Hall, DSA Headquarters,Abuja.

The aim of the lecture was to acquaint Staff and Personnel of the Administration on Leveraging Emerging Cyber Trends for the Enhanced Protection of National Defence Infrastructure with a view to proposing the way forward. This lecture was a follow-up and update on the lecture delivered on 31 Aug 23 by the host directorate which was titled “Cyber threats landscape: Identifying and mitigating current threats”.

The 25 April, 2024 Lecture commenced immediately after the Director of Cyber Security, Rear Admiral SA Yahaya gave his opening remarks. Thereafter, the Facilitator, Mr Ignatius Shija who is a senior Cyber Security Analyst from the host Directorate made his presentation on the topic “Leveraging on Emerging Cyber Trends for Enhanced Protection of National Defence Infrastructure.”

The lecture dovetailed into an interactive session where questions were entertained from everyone present including the online participants.

The Deputy Chief of Defence Space Administration (DCDSA), Rear Admiral KJ Odubanjo gave the closing remarks after the interactive session. In his closing remarks, he commended the host Directorate for the informative and brilliant  lecture and urged others to take cue from what has been done.

The climax of the event was a vote of thanks delivered by Mrs Precious Samuel of DCyber and a group photograph.
