THE LEADERSHIP AND STRATEGIC COURSE 2\23 OF THE NIGERIAN ARMY RESOURCE CENTRE STUDY TOUR TO DEFENCE SPACE ADMINISTRATION ON WEDNESDAY, 26 March 2024.
The Leadership and Strategic Course 2/23 of the Nigerian Army Resource Centre (NARC) came on a study tour to the Defence Space Administration (DSA) as part of its curriculum for participants of the Course. The team from NARC was led by Maj Gen Gabriel Ode (rtd), accompanied by 5 members of faculty and 36 participants from institution.
The NARC team leader Maj Gen EG Ode (rtd) in his introductory address appreciated the CDSA, AVM AA Shinkafi and the entire DSA team for a warm reception. He stated that part of the mandate of the institution is to provide research-based solution for National Security. He added that the visit is aimed at widening the knowledge of the students as well as to bridge the gap between theory and practical work of the participants.
During the visit, Maj S Samson of the Directorate of Policy Plan and Research made a brief presentation on the activities of DSA. This was followed by an interactive session which was moderated by Brig Gen AG Bage (rtd). The Deputy Director Guidance for Directorate of Navigation, Positioning and Timing, Air Commodore OC Ubadike made contribution on the capacity and functionality of Delsat-1.
In his closing remarks, the CDSA expressed gratitude to the team lead and the faculty members of the NARC, stating that DSA is on track to fulfilling its mandate through provision of Geospatial intelligence and information to the Armed Forces of Nigeria and other relevant governmental bodies.
The highlight of the event was exchange of souvenir between CDSA and the Team Lead. This was followed by a vote of thanks by one of the participants, Lt Col EE Ayegba, a group photograph and facility tour by participants of the NARC Leadership and Strategic Course 2/2023.
