The Defence Space Administration (DSA) held its Monthly Lecture Series today, 28 March 2024, and this was hosted by the Directorate of Communication Satellite (DCS). The lecture, which had over 400 Participants in attendance both physically and virtually was held at General LEO Irabor Multipurpose Hall, DSA Headquarters.
The lecture commenced after the Representative of the Director of Communication Satellite, the Deputy Director Communication Satellite, Navy Captain VT Abayor, gave his opening remarks. Thereafter, the Resource Person, Engineer Najeeb Ibrahim Mukhtar from the host Directorate, gave a lecture on the topic “Satellite Internet Services and the Future of Connectivity”.
The aim of the lecture was to highlight the transformative effect of Satellite Internet Services on Connectivity worldwide. The enlightening and educative lecture piloted to an interactive session where questions were entertained from both physical and virtual participants.
Deputy Chief of Defence Space Administration (DCDSA), Rear Admiral KJ Odubanjo, in his closing remarks, appreciated the participants for their wonderful turnout and also extended his appreciation to the hosting Directorate for a well packaged lecture.
The Climax of the event was a vote of thanks delivered by Miss Edem Mary Etta of DCS and a group photograph coordinated by the Public Relations Officer Maj NE Essien.
