A renewed push for strategic cooperation in Nigeria’s growing space sector unfolded on 9 December 2025, when Major General PO Ilodibia, Chief of Defence Space Administration, welcomed Engr Kayode Babalola, National Chairman of the Nigerian Institute of Space Engineers, and his delegation to the CDSA Conference Room.
During the visit, Engr. Babalola conveyed the institute’s appreciation for the warm reception and outlined its mission to strengthen ties with the Defence Space Administration. He also briefed the CDSA on the institute’s ongoing initiatives, including technical workshops, seminars, and annual conferences designed to advance professional development within the space engineering community.
Responding, Maj Gen Ilodibia embraced the prospects of a stronger partnership, emphasizing the need for synergy and a unified voice in driving national space capabilities. He assured the institute of the administration’s continued support for its programmes and collaborative efforts.
The visit concluded with the signing of the visitors’ book, exchange of souvenirs, and a group photograph to commemorate the engagement.
