The Directorate of Navigation, Positioning, and Timing hosted the June edition of the Defence Space Administration’s (DSA) Monthly Lecture Series on the topic “Utilizing Augmentation Systems for Enhanced Operational Effectiveness of the Armed Forces of Nigeria”.
The Director, Navigation, Positioning and Timing, Rear Admiral OBF Oladipo, in his opening remarks stated that the lecture was aimed at seeking ways to mitigate challenges and errors in the operations of the Armed Forces of Nigeria. He added that augmentation systems play a crucial role in military operations.
Afterwards, Engr Aniekan Inyang from the host Directorate presented a detailed paper on Augmentation Systems for Enhanced Operational Effectiveness of The Armed Forces of Nigeria.
The Lecture dovetailed into an interactive session. The interactive session enabled participants to be more enlightened on augmentation systems and their applications in enhancing the operational effectiveness of the Armed Forces of Nigeria as questions and comments were entertained from both onsite and online participants. The panelists for the interactive session comprised of the moderator, Major AA Oke, two discussants, Surveyor Ibrahim Samir Suleiman from the Office of the Surveyor General of the Federation (OSGOF), Mr Yusuf Abdulganiyu and the Presenter.
The lecture came to an end with a closing remark by the Chief of Defence Space Administration, AVM AA Shinkafi who made valuable comments and commended the host Directorate for their immense effort towards the success of the DSA monthly lecture series,June Edition.
