Army War College Course 9/2025 Participants visit Defence Space Administration

The Acting Chief of Defence Space Administration (CDSA), Rear Admiral K. Mohammed, welcomed the Commandant of the Nigerian Army War College, Major General U. M. Alkali, along with faculty members and participants of Army War College Course 9/2025, during a study visit to the Defence Space Administration (DSA).

The visit aimed to provide participants with a deeper understanding of defence establishments, enhancing their knowledge of strategic defence structures and the critical role of the DSA in national security.

As part of the engagement, Major S. Samson delivered a presentation on the DSA’s operations and key achievements, highlighting advancements in satellite imagery, unmanned surveillance, and the development of the MapShare application. This was followed by an interactive session, where participants engaged in insightful discussions on the evolving role of space technology in defence.

In his remarks, the Commandant expressed appreciation for the warm reception and commended the DSA for its significant contributions to national security. He also emphasized the course’s theme, Forestry, and underscored the importance of emerging technologies in modern military operations.

The Acting CDSA, in his closing address, lauded the visit as a valuable opportunity for collaboration and knowledge exchange, which are essential in addressing Nigeria’s complex security challenges.

The visit concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by one of the participants, Colonel F. A. Yakubu, followed by a tour of DSA facilities, reinforcing the institution’s vital role in supporting the Nigerian Armed Forces and other security agencies.
