Rear Admiral K Mohammed was born on 7 Jan 67 in Pantami, Gombe State. He attended Roman Catholic Primary School, Wereng and Zang Secondary Commercial School Bukuru, Plateau State. He was short listed into NDA as a member of 39 RC, Burma Battalion. Kabir was commissioned as a Sub-Lieutenant in 1992. He has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology and Masters in Strategic Studies.
Rear Admiral K Mohammed is a specialist in Under Water Warfare and served onboard different classes of Ships including NNS DAMISA, NNS EKUN, NNS ENYIMIRI, NNS OFIOM and NNS BRASS amongst others. He served in ECOMOG, Op HADIN KAI, Ops Phyton Dance 2 and 3, Ops Harmony 3 and 4. He also commanded Naval Outpost ONITSHA and Naval Base Lake Chad BAGA. Kabir also commanded NNS DAMISA and NNS BRASS in Acting Capacity. R Adm Mohammed is also a member of many associations among which are Nigerian Institute of International Affairs and African Centre for Strategic Studies.
Rear Admiral Kabir Mohammed attended all statutory military courses. He is currently serving at Defence Space Administration as the Deputy Chief of the Defence Space Administration. Kabir is married to Mrs Hadiza Musa and blessed with 3 daughters. His hobbies include reading and watching documentary films.
