DIRECTORATE OF CYBER SECURITY HOSTS THE JULY EDITION OF DSA MONTHLY LECTURE SERIES

The Directorate of Cyber Security hosted the July edition of the Defence Space Administration (DSA) monthly lecture series with the topic: “Artificial Intelligence and protection of Defence Critical Information Infrastructure: DSA in perspective” on Thursday 31st July 2025 at the Irabor Hall.

The Director Cybersecurity, RAdm IU Ubani kicked off the lecture with his welcome remarks.He emphasized the importance of Artificial Intelligence in Defense Critical Information Infrastructure affairs, specifically focusing on the DSA perspective and also highlighting its benefits for the Cybersecurity of Defence space Administration.

Thereafter , a detailed presentation was delivered by Miss Hafsah Iheoma Emekoma from the host directorate. She spoke on how the lecture advocates for deeper integration of Artificial Intelligence in the Directorate of Cybersecurity to protect Defence Critical Information Infrastructure within the Defence Space Administration, highlighting efforts made, discussing challenges, and outlining the way forward through strategic implementation and future development.

The presentation advanced into an interactive session moderated by Major SO Alayo. Other members of the panel are;

They provided clarity on participants’ questions and addressed ambiguities

At the peak of the event, the Deputy Chief of Defence Space Administration (DCDSA), RAdm K Mohammed acknowledged the host directorate for a lecture thoroughly researched and well presented. He noted that the utilization of artificial intelligence cannot be overlooked and the proposed adoption of artificial intelligence and protection of defense critical information infrastructure by the Director of Cybersecurity is a worthy venture.

The event came to an end with a vote of thanks delivered by Mrs. Ali Zaliha Abarshi who expressed deep gratitude to the participants on behalf of her directorate.
