The Directorate of Earth Observation (DEO) of the Defence Space Administration (DSA) has emphasized the pivotal role of geospatial intelligence in addressing internal security challenges in Nigeria. This was the focus of its monthly lecture held on 30 October 2025 at the General LEO Irabor Hall, DSA Headquarters, Abuja, themed “Crime Mapping and Geospatial Intelligence: Implications for Internal Security in Nigeria.”

Representing the Director of Earth Observation, Commodore AO Ojo highlighted the strategic value of integrating satellite imagery, geospatial data, and advanced analytics in supporting the Armed Forces and other security agencies.
