Defence Headquarters Transformation, Monitoring And Evaluation Team Pays Visit To Defence Space Administration

The Chief of Defence Space Administration (CDSA) AVM AA Shinkafi welcomed the Defence Headquarters (DHQ) Transformation, Monitoring and Evaluation Team led by the Director of Innovation and Concept Development, Maj Gen WB Idris on 8th August 2024 at the CDSA’s Conference Hall.

The visit was aimed at getting an overview of the Administration’s achievements through its training, innovation, research development and managerial issues for the last 3 months. The Team Lead inquired about the administration’s feedback mechanisms and how the feedbacks are applied to measure the progress of the Administration.

Thereafter, Maj E Agboola from the Directorate of Policy, Planning and Research delivered a presentation on the activities of the Defence Space Administration to acquaint the team with the administration’s achievements and challenges thus far.

This dovetailed into an interactive session where Maj Gen WB Idris commended the administration for a job well done. He spoke extensively on the need for the creation of operations centres across the nation for crime mapping. As well as collaboration with other governmental organizations such as Ajaokuta Steel Company.

The CDSA concluded the interactive session with closing remarks on mapping, surveillance and creation of a centralized operations centre for operational Directorates within the administration.

The highlight of the event was the signing of the visitors’ book, presentation of souvenirs, group photograph and tour of the DSA facility.
