The Chief of Defence Space Administration (DSA), Air Vice Marshal L.I. Oluwatoyin, alongside the Principal Staff Officers, welcomed the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Defence, Senator Ahmed Lawan, and other distinguished committee members during an oversight visit to the Administration.
As part of the visit, the Director of Logistics, Rear Admiral S.A. Abdullahi, delivered a comprehensive presentation outlining the DSA’s establishment, budget performance, major achievements, and challenges.
In his remarks, Senator Ahmed Lawan emphasized the strategic importance of the Defence Space Administration, advocating for increased government prioritization. He encouraged the DSA leadership to focus on capacity-building initiatives by enhancing staff training to ensure optimal performance. Furthermore, the Senator underscored the need for improved budgetary allocation to support the DSA’s critical role in bolstering national security.
The visit concluded with an interactive session, followed by the presentation of a commemorative souvenir to the visiting delegation.
