The Chief of Defence Space Administration, Air Vice Marshal LI Oluwatoyin, honoured the promotion of two senior officers during a shipping ceremony held on May 5, 2025, at DSA Headquarters.
The event celebrated the elevation of Commanders EB Bufazi-Ojo and M Garba to the rank of Navy Captain.


Following the shipping, the Deputy CDSA, Rear Admiral K Mohammed; Rear Admiral USA Chugali; Brigadier General TR Adio; and Navy Captain Solebo shared words of wisdom with the newly shipped officers, encouraging them to embrace their new responsibilities with focus and integrity.
In his address, the CDSA applauded their commitment to the service of the nation and charged them to uphold the high standards expected of their new rank. He also advised them to be strategic in their career progressions and begin to plan ahead for retirement.


Speaking on behalf of the decorated officers, Navy Captain EB Bufazi-Ojo expressed sincere appreciation to the CDSA and other dignitaries, reaffirming their continued dedication to national service.

The ceremony was attended by senior officers, Staff of the DSA, and family members of the honourees. Highlights of the event included the symbolic attachment of new ranks and a group photograph to mark the memorable occasion.
